Ever wondered what happens to TV stars after they’ve finished playing their roles on TV? What happens when they’re out of work and are completely typecast by their old, popular roles? Galaxy Quest looks to answer that question.

Galaxy Quest is the story of a cast of actors who can find no work beyond their old science fiction show and are forced to attend conventions. Unfortunately being typecast results in their abduction by real aliens, who think the cast will save them from the threat of an evil invading overlord. Led by Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver, the cast might fight off the overlord and perform as they had on the TV show – only now, their lives are on the line.

The result is a hilarious action comedy that will keep science fiction fans delighted with constant references to their favorite shows, the most prominent by far being Star Trek.
